Wildcrafting 101 with Linda Patterson - 4/11, 8/2 and 11/7. 9am. - 1pm.
Learn to ethically harvest and process wild herbs! 3 Days stalking wild things native to Cape Cod. Come spend the day getting your hands dirty learning the nitty-gritty aspects of herbalism. During this 3-day class we will travel to different locations identifying and harvesting seasonal plant material. We will discuss the best methods of preparation for the herbs harvested and process some of what we’ve collected. The first class will focus on digging and tincturing roots. The second class will focus on herbs in bloom, harvesting aerial tops. The third class will focus on late blooming herbs, more roots, possibly mushrooms, and seed collection. All class dates are subject to change due to late bloomage and/or lack of herbage. All students will be asked to bring a shovel, digging tools, clippers, any field guides they may have, and bags for collection. Be prepared to get dirty and possibly wet. Classes will be held regardless of light rain. Follow in the footsteps of Cape Cod herbalists and healers of the past. Register NOW!
