OK...here's the squash recipe from the ball!

WITCHES BALL BUTTERNUT SQUASH
Roast a few butternut squash and scoop out the cooked squash.
Mix in butter, salt, cinnimon, nutmeg, cloves, ginger etc...to taste.
Stir in a beaten egg.
Put into casserole dish.
Melt butter and mix in brown sugar, cinnimon, nutmeg etc. Add crushed walnuts to this. Sprinkle on top of squash. Bake at around 350 degrees till it looks done. About a half an hour.

Here's a recipe for Paska, a cheesey sweet spread we Polish people eat at Easter time.

1 pound cream cheese, softened
1/2 pound of cottage cheese (or ricotta)
1/2 cup of sour cream or yogurt (plain)
3 tablespoons unsalted butter,softened
1 cup vanilla sugar (mix 1 cup sugar & 1 tsp vanilla)
1/4 tsp lemon juice
1/2 cup slivered almonds (if desired, I don't)

Cream together cream cheese, cottage cheese, sour cream and butter until thoroughly blended. Add the rest of the ingredients and blend. Line a strainer with clean muslin (or cheese cloth)and place the strainer in a bowl, fold the cloth across the cheese and place a weight on top. This is just like making cheese (for anyone who's ever made their own). Put in the refigerator over night. The following day, peel off the cloth and place cheese on a plate. It should be the consistency of soft cheese- can be sliced if it's solid enough or scooped out like a cottage cheese.
I make this every year & It goes very quickly. It's one of my favorites!!
enjoy!
